Dominique Ansari

Introducing Dominique Ansari! Her newest collection will be featured at Spring on the Runway! I am so excited to have her as part of the show. I love this collection as it has the "dance" element, but still offer completely stylish designs that could be worn in so many different settings.

The aesthetics of your fashion line are extremely important. Of course you have to have a fantastic line, but just below that, the photography is a huge part. I can't stress enough how important it is. Communicating something through your campaign gives readers and buyers something to connect to. Dominique did a very good job with the style and look she was going for and really conveyed that through the photographs of her line. She definitely knows herself and her line and what she wants to communicate which is fantastic!

"Dominique Ansari, Inc. is a company in the making. Dominique designs the styles from sketches, drapes them, makes patterns for them, then cuts and sews each piece her self. Everything is custom made and hand made as well." So far, her collection is amazing, and I can't wait to see what else is in store for Dominique!

Winter on the Runway SALE!

Winter on the Runway, the runway show we had on Saturday, was extremely successful! The feedback was great, the show was beautiful and the place was packed! Pictures and video will be coming shortly! Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the show! I was amazed at the number of people ready and willing to help!

I will be showing the highlights of each designer as well as the sponsors AND some giveaways I still have left. Those things will unfold as the week goes on and I attempt to get everything organized and working again!

In the meantime though, I am having a SALE! With Christmas just around the corner, these items are actually quite marked down!

This has been quite the week! Without getting into extreme details it is safe to say I have a lot going on. At the same time I am really trying to work through all my ideas and figure out exactly what I want to do with Aspiring Couture in terms of expansion. I am hoping that after this runway show, I will know a bit better what I want as well as what buyers want. At that point maybe I will be able to make some decisions!

The honeymoon stage is ending....

Well, the honeymoon stage is officially ending and my runway show and I are left to battle our differences. In the past few days this show has become my baby. Too excited to think, I just kept coming up with millions and millions of ideas. My mind was racing, and I literally couldn't stop! Well the dust has settled and my focus has begun to take over. The excitement is ending and what is taking its place? Sheer overwhelm! Yep! Well, great. I was hoping the excitement would just keep me above all the stress for the next 6 weeks and I would make it through alive. It doesn't look like that is going to happen.

I found a venue, and there really is nothing quite wrong with it, except that suddenly I want other options, I want a different style, and I want to restart. AND THEN, well where do I get lighting? Is anyone going to be there? Will the sponsors come through? blah blah blah.

For a moment of NOT freaking out I will say 2 things.

1. The idea that I have in my mind is pretty epic. Not only do I have a way to find some pretty amazing sponsors, I have lots and lots of ways to promote it. I did my research and I have found what will be the key to a successful event. This could potentially bring twice or three times as many people as I am expecting. And I definitely know I do have the ability to create an awesome looking event, and be able to pull the whole thing off in 6 weeks. So, with that, I guess I really can do it.

Of course I would love to be receiving e-mails of models and designers who are interested in adding to the ranks! So, tell your friends.

2.Secondly, I quite like this clutch from Foxcrow. And I have been looking for a really cute, but big clutch. So there you have it!
