Enve Designs

I found this great jewelry designer today, and fell in love with her work! I thought she would be perfect for the Aspiring Couture website and boutique. She is very nice and hopefully as excited as I am about getting her work out there!

You can view more of her work at here and I will definitely keep you updated!

Do you like the work? Let me know!

Some thoughts!

I have been meaning to update this. I have written the start of about 15 posts. Seriously! But, I can never finish them because I either get too busy, or I can’t figure out how to incorporate my posts when I am still doing all the prep work and not going all out on getting designers. So, I decided to just sit down and write something-just communicate!

I have gotten some amazing feedback on this so far, and I am so happy that I have these people in my life who really do want to support me. I am really excited about the millions of ideas I have running through my head. The first thing I actually put into reality, looking at the product and knowing I did it, will be the most amazing day of my life!

I am looking for more people who want to showcase their works, but I figure when going up to San Francisco and going to other places (LA etc.) I will have a good amount of material. Once the website goes up, I will be able to just put it all up and go!

I do have to say something about the wonder that is Twitter. I have had a personal account for a long time, and have always been seriously obsessed. On my @aspiringcouture account I gained a lot of followers pretty fast. I feel like I have this whole twitter life- and people I know, even though it is only through the internet. I have found some great people, great blogs, etc. through twitter as well. I have been getting positive feedback from many people, and its just great! If you follow me on twitter, thanks so much!

I am going to start sewing again soon! Pretty excited to do that. I will post pictures of the first piece when it is done! In the meantime- I will post on designers I find, or who I will be featuring on my website!

Please give me any and all feedback you want! I would love to hear your comments and opinions!

Oh-and here is a pic of me, just in case you don't know who I am!

Sarah Seven

I have been seeing her around a lot, and thought I should check her out. I am in love with her "Tulip" dress (above) , and find it incredibly well-made (well, at least from the pictures). I think that she is a great example of the kind of inspiring fashion I would like to expose the world to!

But, the thing that tipped me over the edge was a comment on her Etsy by someone who purchased one of her pieces.

"Although the top came initially with a loose-fitting back, Sarah was willing to alter it again to fit. We shared postage costs sending the top back to her, and back to me, which didn't come up to be a lot more. Nonetheless, would have been great if the top had come out perfect the first time - alas, that's inevitable for made-to-measure over the internet! :) the top is lovely. thanks sarah! p/s the zip is a little hard to do up, may wanna look into that."

The fact that she is such a professional in her field and could create a piece for someone she has never met, and gave them exactly what they wanted, AND have it fit how they wanted is a great skill. This impressed me and I needed to share.

Find more of her at: http://beausandarrows.blogspot.com/

She is definitely someone I would love to sell in my boutique! See, I knew those great designers existed, and she has confirmed this for me!

Your opinions

Hello again!

I am trying to get some feedback, opinions and info from readers to help deliver to you what you want! I created an online survey, and I would really appreciate you taking a second to give me some info. I think there are only 8 questions total, so it shouldn't be that long!

Thanks in advance for the help!

Why I am doing this

I have been trying to figure out why I am doing this. What is the purpose behind it, and what is it that I want to create? I wanted to communicate a bit of my thought process as I thought it would be helpful to both designers and purchasers.

I have been doing a lot of research and reading about everything even closely related to fashion, business and boutiques. I continue to get inspired by the endless possibilities of starting something from scratch and how much I can actually create. I am starting to find this love for writing that I never knew I had. Similarly, I found this love for the internet, websites, social networking, and most of all, blogs. I enjoy reading other people's viewpoints and understanding what others think. I like seeing how others have created and how they have gone on to inspire people with their ideas.

When I came up with this idea, I really wanted to design. Oh, I just loved the thought of being the next Chanel (who wouldn't!) but I found that the design was not necessarily my strong suit, and I wanted to communicate in other ways. I love business, arts and helping others. I found tons of incredibly talented designers who's work inspired me so much. So, to incorporate all the things above listed, I decided upon Apiring Couture. That way I could help other designers continue to inspire and create a career out of their work. Similarly, when I was ready to design again, I could go for it! I want my work to be put on the shelves of Aspiring Couture, but until that day came, this would give me the chance to help other talented artists flourish and prosper.

So, after all that, I decided I wanted to do this for the designers and for the customers. The thought of having someone completely satisfied with a piece of work they created and having the chance to sell that piece to a client who was just as satisfied with the result, would be incredibly fulfilling. I want to create an atmosphere where people can feel inspired by the overall tone of the store and the pieces in it.

I hope to achieve that soon with an actual boutique. In the meantime though, I love the idea of this blog to discover those designers who have something they really want to communicate, and give that to the public.

I hope you enjoy!

What is Aspiring Couture?

Aspiring Couture is a project to get young designers, their fresh approach and new outlook on fashion, made known to the world. On the reverse side, Aspiring Couture is a blog of a summation of inspiring and original clothing where people go to find things which communicate to them and make them feel confident.

The purpose behind Aspiring Couture is to allow designers to communicate new ideas, and through those, change the face of fashion and the world. This project was made to take these designers and showcase their works.

We can get so caught up in the day-to-day functions of life that we can start to forget to love ourselves and those around us. After too many hits, a person can start to fall, and without that confidence there, he can start believing that he is not good enough, or that he can't conquer the world. Designers have innovative way of giving a person a fresh outlook in himself which creates a new confidence, so he knows the sky is the limit!

This blog is a composition of all new designers with new ideas on fashion and the world. They are original, unique and quite simply, a breath of fresh air to most of us. Aspiring Couture wants those designers with true passion to flourish and prosper in life.

Right now we are looking for people who want to contribute to this project including designers, jewelry designers, fashion merchandisers, writers, etc. We want people with something to communicate to the world. If that is you, please contact us!
